Camp Kudzu

For over 20 years, Camp Kudzu has been dedicated to educating, empowering, and inspiring children and teens living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). A life-long autoimmune disease in which individuals cannot produce insulin—T1D can be extremely isolating for those living with it. Camp Kudzu hosts year-round programs, including multiple overnight summer sessions, family camps, teen retreats, and a day camp. Campers learn how to manage T1D in an inclusive fun-filled environment and create long-lasting friendships. In addition, lessons are woven into camp activities so that campers can learn diabetes management skills that help increase their independence. Our inspiring programs empower families, children and teens living with T1D to gain confidence, make connections with their peers and increase knowledge about living a healthy life with diabetes.
