$5,000 Goal

Gateway Center is a homeless service center serving metro Atlanta that is designed to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring for individuals and families experiencing homeless. Since 2005, Gateway Center has served as one of Atlanta's leading partners in the provision of housing and support services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to connect people experiencing homelessness with the support necessary to become self-sufficient and find a permanent home. Our programs and services are strategic and innovative as part of our collective impact model.

Utilizing effective, reliable, and relevant solutions, Gateway Center provides 420 beds of short-term housing (shelter) and supportive services to approximately 10,000 individuals annually who are experiencing homelessness.  Gateway Center's programs are designed to address the underlying reasons for their homelessness, such as unemployment or underemployment, behavioral health, housing affordability, and/or medical conditions. We provide a trauma informed and client-centered environment where individuals can receive the tools they need to end their homelessness and achieve self-sufficiency. To ensure the alignment of services with our mission, values and community partnerships, GWC has focused on our Five Keys to Success: (1) Housing Placement and Stability; (2) Job Skills Training and Placement; (3) Health and Wellness; (4) Family and Community Engagement; and (5) Adult and Financial Literacy.
