Through the dynamic worlds of music, technology and sports, ProstAware generates awareness and education about the impact of prostate cancer and those at risk. This way, we can engage men and their loved ones to have meaningful discussions about a topic most men generally don’t want to discuss — their prostate health. Our vision is to have every man we encounter undergo prostate cancer testing and to talk with their doctor about reducing prostate cancer risk.
The statistics speak for themselves. One in 7 men will encounter prostate cancer in their lifetime. Every 20 minutes a man we love loses his life to prostate cancer. You can help us make a difference in these statistics by participating in our fundraising events — Blue Ties and run4DAD — or by making a donation.
The Blue Ties Luncheon, held in September during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, is ProstAware’s premier fundraising event of the year, drawing 450-500 guests. run4DAD, held on Father's Day, is a seasoned and dynamic 5K run/walk, bringing together cancer patients, survivors, family members, friends, physicians, regional celebrities and athletes to bring awareness and education to prostate cancer. Proceeds help to support awareness, education, and support groups for men with prostate cancer and their families.
By generating greater awareness and education about prostate cancer, we can change these statistics. Early detection can save lives.
